This man looks almost distraught by the offer, making Morgan feel much less enthusiastic about their conversation than is necessary to keep his end of it as convincing as possible. And, of course, he's even looking away and trying to turn him down. Good fucking going Morgan--

Their hands join; awkwardly and quickly, but hell, it's contact. Morgan's shoulder twangs a little at the jostling, but he half-smiles through it anyhow.

"Moritz," he repeats, mostly to make sure he heard the guy right. "I mean, I don't wanna...intrude, but...not often I run into folks from 'round my parts, y'know?"

He still wanted to smoke that cigarette, and an unconscious urging has him fiddling with the one he tucked away behind his ear. He thinks of where his lighter is, same pocket as his pack, but he knows he has to keep up his façade of being Bic-poor. "I know a good bar couple blocks from 'ere. And...uh, there's a pretty shitty lookin' trolley car diner with some good food for cheap." And, if it was ten o'clock at night, they too could score some beers to go with their chicken fried steaks. Alas.

Morgan is swallowing down his urgency pretty well, by the way. Well, for his standards. He still looks a little uncomfortable, asking a perfect stranger to go hang out somewhere, but the requesting itself seems perfectly genuine. Seriously, dude-- Moritz, take him up on this. "If, uh...if yer not busy."
